King of Kings
The word:
Pilate asked Jesus, “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus said, “My kingdom does not belong to this world; if it did, my followers would fight to keep me from being taken by the authorities. You say that I am a king. I was born and came into the world for this one purpose: to speak about the truth. Whoever belongs to the truth listens to me.” – Dan 7:13-14 | Ps 92 | Rev 1:5-8 | Jn 18:33-37
Look closer:
King of Truth: A Story. We had been robbed for the third time. As I prepared the insurance claim, a friend suggested that I claim for the camera that I had dropped and broken, even though it wasn’t one of the stolen things. It was tempting but I opted for the truth. I know from experience that honesty in small things leads to honesty in big things.
- Talk about it: How has the truth ‘cost’ you?
