Welcome to CathFamily, a web site dedicated to assisting families in making the home the living heart of the church. As a church, we have benefited over the centuries from simple home-based rituals to provide practical faith experiences for our children. This site aims to provide innovative and contemporary resources to continue this tradition—by collecting both traditional and contemporary rituals that Catholic families can adapt into their own family rituals.
We encourage you to use these resources to help find ways to make your home a living 'domestic church' ... and send us your own family rituals.
It is supported by the Marriage Resource Centre (MRC) and maintains the that the family is the foundation of civil society, the married couple relationship is the centre of the family, and that the sexual union of the couple is the living energy and sacred source of the love between husband and wife. As with all the work of MRC, including CathFamily and SmartLoving, Pope John Paul II's writings on the Theology of the Body deeply informs our work.
Enjoy!
